Welcome Lizzy Scully to Titan Straps!
This April, Titan Straps hired its first communications director, Lizzy Scully.
Lizzy brings 20+ years and a wealth of business, marketing and public relations, writing and editing experience to the company. In recent years, she built marketing departments for Alpacka Raft and Hyperlite Mountain Gear. She also spearheaded Revelate Designs’ 10-year anniversary campaign. Though expert at digital marketing, Lizzy started as a writer/editor. She’s published hundreds of articles in outdoor publications, from the various climbing magazines to Mountain Flyer and The Radavist.
Lizzy also feels passionate about giving back. She served for two years as a board member for Mancos Valley Resources, a fiscal agent for 18 smaller projects that support and enhance the local community. Lizzy also served as a board member and vice president of the board for Bikepacking Roots Board. She helped them build a marketing plan and establish their brand book.
Last, but not least, Lizzy dedicates significant time to being a mulit-sport adventurer. She spent two decades climbing 2000- to 4500-foot big walls from Pakistan to Canada to Greenland and throughout the United States. She's best known for her first free ascent with Heidi Wirtz of “Bad Hair Day” (5.12-) on the South Howser Minaret, Bugaboos, Canada. She also did a notable her third ascent of “Inshallah,” a route up the 4400-foot Shipton Spire (19,700’) in the Karakoram Range of Pakistan. When not adventuring, Lizzy Scully lives on a 35-acre ranch with her two cats, Rubber and Surly, her dog saddle and her husband, Steve “Doom” Fassbinder. The duo runs a seasonal guide service, Four Corners Guides. They recently published, The Bikeraft Guide: a History of, How-To & Wild Adventure Stories About Bikerafting.
